Glory Projects for China

This proposal aims to provide environmental training to Chinese representatives of 156 major regional projects (‘Glory Projects’) across 30 provinces in inland China and build their capabilities to address environmental degradation, pollution and sustainability.

The Glory Projects are an initiative of the Chinese Bank of Agriculture.  The Bank of Agriculture has indicated interest in delivering environmental management training for each of these projects, with the ultimate goal being the development of a formal Environmental Management System by each project proponent.  If approved, the project will require a two-year rollout.

This is a significant, strategic opportunity which could result in the establishment of key relationships and experience in the delivery of environmental training in 30 provinces across China.  To date, most countries competing for environmental work in China (eg. Germany, Italy, USA) have focused on major eastern seaboard cities (predominantly Beijing and Shanghai). However, significant opportunities exist across many other provinces to improve environmental management.

Maunsell has significant experience in delivering environmental training and establishing environmental management systems. 

The unique, strategic scope of this project presents an opportunity to market Victorian capabilities to help develop liveable cities and sustainable regions.
