Project background
The proposed Dakr’Tih hydroelectric power project is located on the Dong Nai river, about 250km north-west of Ho Chi Minh City. The project contains two cascades: an upper cascade (Dakr’Tih 1) and a lower cascade (Dakr’Tih 2).
Project outline
Consulting Company No.1 has been appointed as the lead consultant for the technical design of Dakr’Tih 1 and 2. Maunsell’s role as sub-consultant is to provide experts for supporting, reviewing and designing the works.
Project detail
Dakr’Tih 1 (2 x 41 MW) features four earthfill dams (the largest 56m high), an ogee gated spillway, three connecting canals, 1400m long power canal, intake, steel penstock, and above ground powerhouse and switchyard.
Dakr’Tih 2 (2 x 29.5 MW) features an ogee free dam spillway, intake, 2700m long circular concrete lined power tunnel, cylinder surge tank, circular steel penstock, and above-ground powerhouse and switchyard.

- Controls and telecoms systems, including technical specification and schedules
