The Brisbane Airport Master Plan sets out the framework for the future development of Brisbane Airport over the next 20 years. It includes such key issues as:

• Road and public access 
• Terminal development 
• Runway locations 
• Aircraft noise management 
• Property development 
• Land use and environmental assessment

Maunsell was overall project co-ordination for all elements of the master plan, including a team of specialist consultants dealing with noise management, airside and terminal planning, passenger forecasts, environmental management and associated issues.

In addition to project management and co-ordination, Maunsell completed all landside traffic forecasts, transport infrastructure planning and concept layouts.

Maunsell also facilitated management workshops to focus on the key themes and context of the Master Plan and prepared the Supplementary Report, which analysed some 4,000 submissions following the 90-day public comment period.
