Environment, Water and Civil Infrastructure: Sustainability is the key
At Maunsell, our Environment, Water and Civil Infrastructure teams balance environmental outcomes with economic, social and engineering needs.
Our people challenge conventional thinking, integrate smart technology and find teams with the best possible skills for developing innovative and sustainable solutions for the future.
Planners, scientists, engineers, sustainability and climate change specialists work across the business; transport, power and energy, minerals and industry, and buildings.
We are developing an enviable track record in water across sewerage and solid waste systems, wastewater, stormwater, dams, reservoirs and new supply technologies. For example, our teams have designed ocean outfalls for North Shore City Council in New Zealand, Queensland’s 110km Gladstone water pipeline, and are working on engineering design and environmental issues for the Sydney and Victorian Desalination Plants.
Maunsell is leading the way in climate change risk assessment technologies, providing forecast reports on potential infrastructure, resource and community impacts for government clients across the power, energy, transportation and water sectors.
Our diverse experience in planning and implementing projects extends across business segments including roads, rail, maritime, aviation, power transmission and distribution, renewable energies, mining, hospitals and commercial, buildings and defence in urban and rural areas for both public and private sectors.
We are involved with major infrastructure initiatives including the Inner Northern Busway and major rail upgrades in Queensland; the Port of Melbourne Channel Deepening in Victoria; and the multi-award winning Woodlawn Bioreactor Project in New South Wales.
Our team is backed by the collective knowledge, insight and experience of AECOM’s operating companies. We draw on the talents of Metcalfe and Eddy’s water specialists in the US, leading expertise from UK-based Faber Maunsell, and environmental and planning firms, ENSR and EDAW. Together, we are a powerful global resource, developing new and sustainable approaches to infrastructure development and natural resource management that enhance and sustain world communities.
